1. Since 1982, a larger clutch disc has been used (see Specifications).

2. This larger disc has a smaller thrust surface that contacts the diaphragm spring fingers.

3. This clutch is equipped with a smaller diameter release bearing.

4. Smaller diameter release bearings should not be installed on clutches with large diaphragm spring pins.

5. However, the release bearings of early models (designed for the thumbs of the diaphragm spring) can also be used for diaphragm springs with smaller fingers, since their thrust surface is much larger.
