The camshaft is located at the top of the head and has two gear wheels mounted on it. The front gear is driven by a toothed belt from the crankshaft, and the rear gear is driven by a second toothed belt to drive the fuel pump.

Camshaft

The camshafts of the DV 1G and DW 1S models, as well as the other three engines, differ from each other.

Number of bearings:4

- anterior neck:
31.925 - 31.950 mm
- other necks:29.939 - 29.960 mm
Diametrical clearance:0.05 - 0.10 mm
Lateral clearance:max 0.15 mm
Lift of valve cams:
- inlet valve:
8.5 mm
- exhaust valve:9.0 mm

Distribution phase drawing

When lifting the valves by 1 mm (for all engines).

Pushers

The pushers move in the holes in the head.

The DV 1 G and DW 1 S engines are equipped with tappets with hydraulic valve clearance relief.

Valve clearances for a warm engine:
— intake valves:
0.20 - 0.30 mm
— exhaust valves:0.40 - 0.50 mm
Valve clearances for a cold engine:
— intake valves:
0.15 - 0.25 mm
— exhaust valves:0.35 - 0.45 mm

Diameter:34.950 - 34.975 mm
Mounting gap:0.025 - 0.075 mm
Gasket thickness:3.00 - 4.25 mm every 0.05 mm
Clearance of adjusting shims in tappets:0.016 - 0.046 mm

Valves

The valves of the DV 1 G and DW 1 S engines differ from the valves of the other engines.

Overall length: - engines DV 1 G and DW 1 S:95 mm
- other engines:
intake valves:
