Windshield wiper blades and arms — removal and installation (VW Lt 28)

1. To remove the wiper blade, lift the arm away from the glass until it stops.

2. Pinch the ends of the plastic insert on the U-shaped end of the lever together, then slide the wiper blade off the lever, twisting it to release (see photos 23.2a and b).

3. To remove the lever, remove the plastic plug and unscrew the mounting nut (see photo 23.3).

4. Remove the lever from the drive spindle cotter pins (see photo 23.4).

5. Installation is carried out by performing the above steps in reverse order, however, when installing the lever, make sure that the windshield wiper motor is in the off position, and then position the lever in accordance with Figure 10.24.
