Grounding points — location and functions (VW Lt 28)

1. The satisfactory operation of the starter motor, ignition system and other electrical devices depends on the provision of clean and reliable ground contacts.

2. Check them regularly. These include:

Gearbox extension housing to the side surface of the body;
Negative battery cable to the body;
Flexible steering column joint;
Rear left side of the chassis;
Rear chassis crosspiece.
