Windscreen washer pump (VW Passat B5)

Windshield and headlight washer reservoir

• 1 - screws 7 Nm,
• 2 - windshield washer pump,
• 3 - headlight washer pump,
• 4 - places for attaching liquid supply hoses,
• S - front of the car, view of the lower left part,
• X - to headlight washers,
• Y - to windshield washers

Removal

1. Squeeze the wire clips and disconnect the electrical connector from the pump.

2. Pump out the fluid from the windshield washer reservoir. The pump is attached to the bottom of the washer reservoir.

3. Using a key, turn the pump to separate it from the rubber nozzle and remove it from the washer reservoir.

4. Disconnect the hose from the pump.

Installation

1. Connect the hose to the pump.

2. Install the pump into the washer reservoir, securing it in the rubber nozzle.

3. Connect the electrical connector to the pump.

4. Check the operation of the windshield washer pump.
