Golf/Touran cars without air conditioning.
Removal
1. Remove the heater/air conditioner switch assembly from the instrument panel.
2. Remove the flexible shaft of the air distribution flap from the switch block adapter.
3. Golf vehicles: Remove the upper trim in the footwell.
4. Disconnect the damper rod cable 1 from the actuator and also release it from the clamp 2 (see illustration).
Installation
5. Secure the cable to the actuator, making sure that it is routed under the fastening hook (see arrow in illustration 14.4).
Further installation is performed in the reverse order of removal. After installation, check the operation of the damper.
