If the engine does not work, it is necessary to systematically eliminate the faults. Before identifying faults, check the presence of fuel in the fuel tank. The starter turns the engine at a speed of at least 150 rpm.

CAUSEMETHOD OF ELIMINATION
The engine starts with difficulty or does not start at all
Incorrect starting of diesel engineStarting the engine at an air temperature below +5°C. Set the selector lever to position P or N. Turn the ignition key to position 2 and after the engine preheating indicator lamp goes out, start the engine, but do not press the accelerator pedal. If the engine does not start, preheat the engine again and try to start the engine again. During the preheating of the diesel engine, turn off all unnecessary electrical consumers. When starting the engine at an air temperature above +5°C, preheating the engine is not required
Faulty fuse for:
  • blade fuse for engine preheating device;
  • electronic injection device;
  • fuel pump with electric drive
  • Check the condition of the fuses
    Fuel system malfunctionThe system is dirty, the pipeline is bent or deformed. Check the amount of fuel supplied
    The starter turns the engine very slowlyCharge the battery. Check the electrical circuit of the starter
    Low compression in engine cylindersReplace the cylinder head gasket or overhaul the engine
    Incorrect valve timingCheck the valve timing. Check the timing belt tension
