  • 1 - spanner;
  • 2 - windshield wiper lever;
  • 3 - tool VW 3358




Execution order



1. Turn the windshield wipers on and off, which will reset them to their original position.

2. Check the distance between the wiper blade rubber and the base of the glass, which should be 20–30 mm on the windshield and 25 mm on the rear window (see figure Initial position of windshield wiper blade and figure Initial position of rear window wiper blade).

Checking the angle of the windshield wiper arm



Warning: Check the wiper arm angle when the glass cleaning efficiency is low or when there is noise from the wiper blades.


1. Turn the windshield wipers on and off, the wiper arms will return to their original position. Remove the wiper blades.

2. Insert the windscreen wiper arm (1) into the HAZET 4851-1 or VW 3358 tool and secure with the bolt (see figure Checking and adjusting the angle of the windshield wiper arm).

3. If adjustment is necessary, carefully turn the VW 3358 tool with the spanner (1) until the pointer on the scale is at the required value of ±2°.

4. Remove tool VW 3358, install and secure wiper blades.
