If there are any disturbances in the normal functioning of certain systems and devices, a warning about this appears after the ignition is turned on. At the same time, a corresponding audible warning signal is triggered.
CARS WITH AUTOMATIC TRANSMISSION
After turning on the ignition with the selector in the positions "R" and "N" the following message appears on the display for the driver: "BEIM EINLEGEN EINER FAHRSTUFE IM STAND FUSSBREMSE BETATIGEN" ("When selecting one of the driving positions with the vehicle stationary, press the brake pedal").
When selecting one of the movement positions ("R", "D" and so on) this instruction for the driver disappears.
If one or more violations are detected, the driver instruction disappears approximately 15 seconds after the engine has been started and the relevant violation icon appears on the display along with the corresponding text message.
FOR ALL CARS
If there is a disruption in the normal functioning of certain systems and devices, a corresponding audible warning signal is triggered simultaneously with the appearance of the indication:
- violation of primary importance - three beeps
- violation of minor importance - one sound signal.
When violations of primary and secondary importance occur simultaneously, three sound signals are heard.
In case of a violation, a pictogram appears with a corresponding text message.
An indication of a secondary violation appears only when the primary violation has been corrected.
