The free travel of the clutch pedal should be 15-20 mm. Its adjustment is made by turning the adjusting nut (after loosening locknut) (pic. 271) at the end of the cable sheath attached to the gearbox bracket.
Release the end of the cable at the clutch fork lever, and remove the other end from the rod on the clutch pedal. Install the cable sheath on the gearbox housing bracket, and then thread it through the hole in the engine compartment shield. Pay attention to the way the cable is attached to the clutch fork drive lever (pic. 272). Lubricate the new cable in the attachment points. After installing it, adjust the clutch pedal free play.
