Checking the oil level in the engine oil pan
To check the oil level in the engine oil pan, locate it in the engine compartment (figure 29) the dipstick stem loop and remove it. The oil level should be between the two marks on the dipstick. If necessary, add oil of the appropriate grade. The distance between the marks corresponds to a volume of approximately one liter of oil.
Checking the coolant level
Coolant level in the expansion tank (figure 30) should be between the "maxi" and "mini" marks. Check every 1000 km.
Checking the brake fluid level in the brake fluid reservoir
The brake fluid level should be maintained so that the low fluid warning switch on the instrument panel does not operate. If necessary, add brake fluid that meets DOT3 or DOT4 standards. Replace the fluid every 60,000 km or 2 years of operation.
Checking the fluid level in the automatic transmission
Start the engine and, with the vehicle stationary and the parking brake applied, move the gear selector lever sequentially through all positions. Check the oil level, which should be at the "60" mark. If necessary, add or pump out oil.
