Checking the windshield wiper and washer (VW Golf 1)

Turn on the ignition.

Do the wipers move at two speeds? Do they return back to neutral when turned off? Only the very old Golf model has a single speed wiper.

Does it work? (depending on the equipment) periodic switching on of the windshield wiper?

Is water spraying out of the washer holes?

Do the rear window wiper and washer work on the Golf?

Note: The serially installed periodic rear window cleaning system used in the model "Golf II" since January 1985. can be used very easily in models produced after August 1977. To do this, you need to replace the old rear window wiper relay with a new one (det. 191 955 529).
