Turn the steering gear to the middle position.
To replace the tie rod, measure the distance between the joints from the inside (see picture).
When connecting the steering rod to the steering gear, the threaded part of the rod must be screwed in so that there is still a gap of 69 mm from the steering gear (drawing above). When replacing the steering rod, the new one must be adjusted to a length of 379 mm (picture below).
Loosen the lock nut at the steering rod joint and remove the transverse steering rod.
Now you can, if necessary, remove the steering gear cuff and replace it with a new one.
When installing the tension ring, its lugs must point upwards.
Adjust the new tie rod to a length of 379 mm; if necessary, make adjustments based on the previous steering rod value.
Install the right steering rod according to its own measured value, then the wheel alignment after installation will correspond to the norm.
The change in wheel alignment is controlled by the transverse steering rod (4); 5 - nut; 1 - steering rod joint.
Tighten the inner tie rod joint lock nut.
