Brake pressure regulator (VW Golf 1)

The regulator changes the pressure in the rear brake circuit depending on the vehicle load. The regulator is attached to a bracket on the underbody and is connected to the rear axle by means of a lever and a spring (drawing O:23).



Checking and adjusting the regulator requires the use of calibration tensioners to set the vehicle's suspension height and pressure gauges to measure the pressure in the system, so leave this operation to a VW dealer who has the necessary equipment.
