Removal



Loosen the hub bolt. Remove the wheel. Remove the coil spring. Loosen the bolts securing the "arrow" of the lower wishbone "1" and the transverse rod "2" that connect them to the hub bearing housing.

Unscrew the "arrow" bolt.

Unscrew the «arrow» bolt.


Unscrew the mounting bolts and disconnect the drive shaft from the rear final drive flange.

Rotate the hub bearing housing outward and remove the drive shaft from the hub splines. Remove the drive shaft.

Installation



Installation is carried out in the reverse order. Install the inner CV joint of the drive shaft and pre-tighten its mounting bolts crosswise to a torque of 10 Nm. Finally tighten the internal hexagon bolts crosswise to a torque of 40 Nm. Tightening the hub bearing housing mounting bolts can only be done after reaching the dimension measured before installation between the wheel hub center and the lower edge of the wheel arch.



Tightening torques


Drive shaft to hub. Use only new bolt70 Nm and turn 90°
Drive shaft to rear final drive flange. Use new bolts only40 Nm, pre-tighten crosswise to 10 Nm
