Removal and installation the center console with armrest (VW Tiguan 1)

Turn off the ignition. Remove the electromechanical parking brake button "E538". If available, remove the CD changer. If available, remove the "connector for connecting multimedia devices". If available, remove the DVD player.

Cars with multimedia system

Remove the multimedia system control panel.

Cars with inverter with socket, 12V-230V "U13"

Remove the inverter with the socket, 12 V-230 V "U13". Remove the rear panel of the center console. Remove the trim of the center console. Remove the trim in the footwell on both sides. Unscrew the two screws "1" (1.5 Nm). Unscrew the screw "2" (1.5 Nm). Move the seats forward and up as much as possible.

Disconnect plug "1" from the trim using a small screwdriver. Unscrew screw "2" (6 Nm). Remove plug "3" and unscrew screw "4". Remove plugs and unscrew screws from the opposite side.



Unscrew two screws "1" (1.5 Nm).





If present, disconnect the wiring harness retainer "1" "arrow".



Raise the rear of the center console.
