- loosen the rear wheel bolts, put the rear of the car on a support and remove the wheels;
- set the parking brake lever to the lowest position;

- unscrew the adjusting nut 12 (pic. 330) cable 10 of the parking brake until the levers of the manual drive on the rear brake calipers move to their stops;
- remove the loose cables of the parking brake drive from the equalizer 11 and from the fastening brackets;

- disconnect from the mountings on the rear suspension (pic. 331) parking brake cables;
- Disconnect the parking brake cables from the hand levers on the rear brake calipers. To do this, remove the locking collar, pull the cable against the tension of the spring and unhook the end of the cable from the lever;
- remove the cable through the rear suspension.
Check the condition of the parts of the parking brake system. If a break, abrasion of the wires of the cable, poor fastening of the tips on it or damage to the sheath are found, replace the cable with a new one. The sector teeth and latches must not be damaged. And the lever should be securely fixed in a predetermined position and easily move up and down. Replace damaged and worn parts.
Installation cable pull of the parking brake lever in the reverse order of removal. After installation, adjust the parking brake and tighten the rear wheel mounting bolts to 140 Nm.
