2. The gases removed from the crankcase are not released directly into the atmosphere, but instead are sucked into the air cleaner and returned to the engine, where they are burned.
3. The main parts of the crankcase ventilation system are the oil separator. flame arrester and connecting hoses (see photo).

4. Maintenance of the system mainly consists of checking the reliability of the hose fastenings and periodically removing the parts and cleaning them in kerosene to remove sediment or accumulated emulsified condensate. The latter may occur during operation of a cold engine, especially in winter conditions.
