Front suspension kingpin for LT 40, 45 and 50 models from June 1984 (VW Lt 28)

8. Since June 1984, the spring pin used to secure the kingpin to the bridge beam has no longer been installed.

9. After this date, the bridge beams no longer have a bore for the spring pin, and the kingpin is not provided with an annular groove (see Figure 11.27).

10. When installing a new type kingpin on an old front axle, fill the spring pin hole with sealant to prevent kingpin corrosion.
