2. Remove the wheel and then place the jack under the lower control arm.
3. Remove the spring clamp securing the flexible brake hose to its support bracket, disconnect the brake shoe and tie it to the side.
4. Remove the disc/hub assembly as described in Section 4.
5. Unscrew and remove the disc shield.
6. Loosen the nuts on the lower pivot mount of the upper arm two or three turns.
7. Release the two pivot mount tapered pins from the hub carrier as described in Section 9.
8. Using a suitable tool, disconnect the ends of the tie rod ends from the tie rod socket.

9. While maintaining contact with the jack against the underside of the lower control arm, loosen and remove both pivot mount nuts. Lower the jack and remove the hub carrier.
10. Installation is carried out by performing the above steps in reverse order. Tighten all nuts and bolts to the required torque.
