Checking the thermal clearance in the joints of piston rings (VW Caddy 3)

To check, install the ring into the cylinder (using a piston as a mandrel) so that the plane of the ring is perpendicular to the axis of the cylinder, at a distance of approximately 15 mm from its lower edge.
