Exhaust system components with catalytic converter for BJB and BSU engines (VW Caddy 3)

Attention!
  • After installing the exhaust system components, it is necessary to check for the absence of internal stress in the system, as well as the presence of sufficient distance between the system components and the body. If necessary, unscrew the double clamp and the clamping clamp and align the downpipe and muffler so that there is sufficient distance to the body and the suspension is loaded evenly.
  • Replace the self-locking nuts.

1. Downpipe with catalytic converter.
2. Bracket.
3. Bracket mounting screw: 25 Nm.
4. Double clamp bolt nut: 25 Nm.
5. Double clamp.
6. Exhaust pipe.
7. Suspension.
8. Bracket.
9. Suspension bracket mounting screw: 25 Nm.
10. Bracket with suspension.
11. Rear muffler.
12. Disconnection point:
- indicated on the pipe using stamped dots;
- in serial production, the exhaust pipe and rear muffler are installed as one integral part. When repairing, the pipe and muffler are supplied separately;
- a double clamp is supplied to connect them;
- mounting position of the rear double clamp;
- tighten the threaded connections of the double clamp evenly;
- tightening torque of threaded connections of double clamp: 25 Nm.
13. Bracket.
14. Suspension.
15. Crossbar.
16. Pipe screw to bracket: 40 Nm.
17. Bracket mounting screw: 40 Nm.
18. Support.
19. Compaction.
20. Clamp.
21. Clamp tightening screw: 7 Nm.
