Checking the thermal seal of piston rings (VW Caddy 3)

Place the ring on top of the cylinder and then slide it (using an old piston) it into the bottom of the cylinder so that it is positioned at a distance of approximately 15 mm from the bottom edge of the cylinder (the sides of the ring must be perpendicular to the walls of the cylinder).
