List of parts and assemblies of the cylinder head (VW Caddy 3)

List of cylinder head parts and assemblies with technological notes on repairs to figure VC3.021:
1. Upper part of the timing belt cover.
2. Timing belt:
- Before removing, mark the direction of movement;
- don't overdo it.
3. Screw for fastening the pulley to the camshaft hub: 10 Nm:
- replace with a new one during assembly.
4. Camshaft hub mounting screw: 25 Nm.
5. 100 Nm.
6. Timing pulley of the camshaft.
7. Hub with timing rotor of camshaft position sensor:
- when loosening and tightening, use a locking device;
- use a puller to remove.
8. Rear part of the timing belt cover.
9. Sealing sleeve.
10. Camshaft position sensor (hall effect) (G40):
- to remove, remove the sealing bushing on the rear part of the timing belt drive housing.
11. Cylinder head fastening screw:
- observe the sequence of loosening and tightening the cylinder head mounting screws;
- Before installation, install washers in the cylinder head.
12. Valve cover:
- Before installation, thoroughly wipe the mating surfaces of the cylinder head with a clean cloth.
13. Crankcase ventilation system pressure reducing valve.
14. Direction to turbocharger.
15. Lid:
- replace the gasket if damaged.
15. Sealing:
- replace if damaged.
17. Valve cover fastening screw: 10 Nm:
- tighten the caps in the proper sequence.
18. Valve cover gasket:
- can only be replaced as a complete assembly with the valve cover;
- apply sealant before installation.
19. Screw for fastening the lifting eye: 20 Nm.
20. Sling eye.
21. Pump-injector.
22. Screw for fastening the central connector of the pump-injectors: 10 Nm.
23. Central connector of pump-injectors.
24. Hose to the brake booster vacuum booster.
25. Dual fuel and vacuum pump:
- cannot be repaired.
26. Pressure hose from the fuel filter:
- white or with a white mark;
- fix with spring clamps;
- check the reliability of the fixation.
27. Return fuel line to the fuel filter:
- blue or with a blue mark;
- fix with spring clamps;
- check the reliability of the fixation.
28. Seal:
- replace with a new one during assembly.
29. Screw: 25 Nm.
30. Cylinder head;
- after replacement, replace the coolant.
31. Cylinder head gasket:
- replace with a new one during assembly;
- install in accordance with the markings based on the results of measuring the piston protrusion.
32. Glow plug: 15 Nm.
33. Tension roller.
34. Tension roller mounting screw: 20 Nm and tighten further by 1/8 turn (45°).
