Wheel bolts-secrets
- 1 - wheel bolt,
- 2 - wheel bolt cap,
- 3 - adapter
Execution order
1. Using the plastic clip from the tool kit, pull cap 2 off the wheel bolt, see fig. Anti-theft wheel bolts.
2. Insert adapter 3 into the recess of the wheel bolt until it stops.
3. Slide the wheel wrench onto the adapter 3 until it stops. Use the wheel wrench to unscrew the wheel mounting bolt.
4. After replacing the wheel, remove the adapter from the wheel bolt and install the cap. A secret code is stamped on the end surface of the adapter. Only on the basis of this code can you order a spare adapter from a Volkswagen service center.
