Turn on the ignition, then check the operation of the following devices one by one:
- parking lights: low beam, fog lights. High beam, additional high beam headlights:
- direction indicators at the front right and left, as well as hazard warning lights;
- reversing light; rear number plate light and, if present, rear fog light;
- hazard warning lights at the rear, right and left: direction indicators.
The assistant should press the brake pedal to check the brake lights.
Spare bulbs for the road
The following spare light bulbs should be available:
- double-filament lamp 45/40 Vg according to DIN standard. Form A ("normal" basic form) or
- halogen single-filament lamp 114, 60/65 W according to DIN standard, shape YD (main headlight; designation on the glass of the lamp "H4");
- O halogen single filament lamp H3: 55W DIN standard, shape YC (fog light and, if necessary, additional high beam light);
- spherical lamp 21 W according to DIN standard, RL shape (for flashing indicator light in front and rear; light brake lights; headlights that illuminate the path when the car is reversing; rear fog light);
- 5W DIN spherical lamp, shape G (rear light);
- 4 W tubular lamp according to DIN standard, form HL (parking lights, rear number plate lights).
