There are many different types of child seats and seat belts; kLYeenay Sofety System products are approved by relevant organizations and are recognized as some of the best.
Child seats are designed for children aged 6-9 months to 5 years. Child seats can be installed in a row if necessary (2 or 3 seats or belts) with a corresponding increase in the number of attachment points.
Most cars have two or three anchor points for each seating position, hidden behind upholstery or soundproofing and covered with plugs or rubber grommets. Always use the anchor points provided, if the anchor point is shared with an adult seat belt, use the long bolts included with the KL Jeenay child seat.
The rear seat belt anchorage points for the Golf are shown in Figure C:10. The upper point is located behind the side panel trim, the lower points are located under the seat cushion. The outer anchorage point can be filled with sealant, and the inner anchorage points can be covered with adhesive tape. If additional anchorage points are required, drill additional holes in the wheel arches or in the luggage compartment floor.
CAUTION: Be careful not to damage the fuel tank, fuel lines, brake lines, wires, etc. located under the floor when drilling holes.
When attaching child seats and seat belts, follow the correct assembly order (figure C:11). Secure the seat with four straps; short belts should be placed at the bottom and long belts at the top.
Adjust the straps so that the seat is as high as possible. Adjust the lower straps without tightening them too much (figure C:12). Make sure the adjustment buckles are at the ends of the belt webbing.
To remove the child seat, press it into the back of the large seat and release the lower straps first.
Adjust the harness so that it fits snugly but not too tightly around your child. Always use the crotch strap.
