Conditions for checking before and during the test drive

Check all front and rear axle suspension components for damage.

Check and adjust tire pressure if necessary.

Check the tyres for external defects. Punctures, cuts, bulges on the sidewalls, local wear due to braking with locked wheels and/or damage to the tread.

Find out if the tire has been punctured, for example by a nail or similar damage, and whether the repair was carried out by a tire dealer. If so, the tires should be replaced.

Check all tires for uniform wear and tread depth.

Determine if all tires are the same type, model, and have the same tread pattern.

For non-directional tires, make sure all DOT markings are on the outside. The vehicle may have had tires or wheels replaced before.

We are talking about the types of tires approved by the manufacturer for assembly.

For the test drive, use a level, straight, non-sloping road without ruts.

Perform a test drive, taking into account all the above conditions.

NOTE: There should be no strong crosswind when performing the test drive. Please read the following instructions before starting work, otherwise the work may be wasted.

NOTE: Before the first rotation, mark the tires/rims, for example, PL, PP, ZL, ZP. After rotating the wheels or changing the direction of the tire on the rim, it is necessary to monitor the behavior of the car during a test drive. Note which tires and/or rims were rotated. In this case, the intensity or change in lateral slip should be determined. In this case, test drives must be carried out by the same mechanic and on the same section of the road. It is better to drive the "test section" in both directions.

Replacing the tire with a new one does not eliminate the lateral pull. Therefore, it is recommended to first purposefully rotate the wheels as described below.

If there is a large difference in tread depth between the front and rear axles, the tyres with the greater tread depth should always be mounted on the front axle.
