Place a wrench on the tensioner nut and turn the wrench to loosen the tension on the V-ribbed belt (pic. 469). Remove poly V-belt.
Inspect the V-ribbed belt: it should not be damaged or cracked. Replace damaged. Reinstall the tension roller as described, put on the V-ribbed belt, install the roller on the V-ribbed belt. The ribs should line up with the grooves, and the belt itself should be centered on the pulley.
Attention! Do not tighten the V-ribbed belt when installing with a screwdriver or any lever on the pulleys, as the belt may immediately lose strength.
