List of parts and components of the front brake FN 3 (VW Caddy 3)

List of parts and assemblies with notes on installation work for Figure VC7.017:
1. Phillips head screw: 4 Nm.
2. Ventilated brake disc:
- diameter 288 mm;
- thickness 25 mm.
- maximum thickness tolerance during wear: 22 mm;
- replace the brake pads as a whole set;
- to remove it, you must first remove the brake caliper.
3. Brake pads with wear sensor:
- thickness 14 mm (excluding the thickness of the base plate);
- with appropriate wear (threshold: about 4 mm) the control lamp on the instrument cluster lights up;
- maximum thickness tolerance when worn: 2 mm without back plate;
- replace all pads for the corresponding axle.
4. Support spring:
- insert into both holes of the brake caliper.
5. Bracket:
- attached to the steering knuckle.
6. Brake caliper
- to replace the brake pads, you do not need to unscrew the brake hose;
- removal and installation;
- repair;
7. Guide: 30 Nm.
8. Protective cap:
- take off.
9. Brake hose with nipple and hollow screw: 35 Nm.
10. Self-locking bolt: 190 Nm:
- clean when re-used,
11. Bolt.
12. Bracket.
13. Steering knuckle with screw-on brake caliper.
14. Wheel speed sensor (ABS):
- before installing the sensor, clean the hole and apply a little plastic refractory grease G 052 112 AZ.
15. Hexagon socket head bolt; 8 Nm.
16. Shield.
17. Hexagon head bolt: 10 Nm.
18. Bearing unit:
- a magnetic ring for the ABS sensor is built into the bearing.
