Multifunctional display (VW Golf 2)

The vehicle's standard equipment includes an on-board computer with a multi-function display. (see figure 5), located in the middle of the instrument panel between the speedometer and tachometer schools.

The display is controlled by switches located on the end of the wiper/washer lever.

The slider of switch "A" is used to reset the information (positions "1" and "2"), and button "5" on the end of the switch lever is used to sequentially display the information on the display in a strictly defined order, starting with the hour display.



The computer has two storage devices (SD) in which the following information is accumulated.

In the current information memory (position "1" of the slider "A" of the switch):

• duration of the trip in hours and minutes, not counting the duration of stops;
• average fuel consumption in l/100 km,
• distance traveled in km;
• average speed, km/h.

If the parking period exceeds two hours, the accumulated information is automatically erased.

In the memory of the summing information (position "2" of the slider "A" of the switch):

• driving distance: 100 km;
• distance traveled: 10000 km;
• fuel consumption: 1000 l.

Regardless of both chargers, the following current information is displayed on the display:
