Tools and equipment (VW Golf 1)

In addition to the tools specified in the chapter "Basic rules for carrying out work", you will need the following tools:

• A set of feeler gauges and calibrated rods (drills) - for checking and adjusting the starting clearances of the air and throttle valves.
• Vacuum gauge - for initial adjustment of the throttle valve.
• Vacuum pump - for testing vacuum devices of Pierburg carburetors.
• Measuring cup, tube and funnel - for checking the performance of the accelerator pump.
