Preparing the cylinder block gasket for installation

Clean the 3 mm holes in the cylinder head gasket from the remains of the old sealant (Fig. 2.55).



Fill the 3 mm holes in the cylinder head gasket with AMV 174 004 01 sealant and lubricate the seating surfaces on the side cover and flange with AMV 176 501 sealant. Install the side cover immediately.
