Activating the security alarm
1. Lock the car.
Turning off the alarm
2. Unlock the car using the unlock button on the remote control or insert the key into the ignition.
Unlocking the car with a mechanical key (emergency)
If the remote control of the locks does not work, then you should unlock the car with the key. This is done as follows:
3. Pull the key out of the handle.
4. Unlock the car with the mechanical key. The alarm system remains armed, but does not activate the panic mode.
5. Within the next fifteen seconds, turn on the ignition.
When the ignition is turned on, the anti-theft system recognizes the key in the lock and deactivates the security alarm.
If the ignition is not turned on, the alarm mode is activated after fifteen seconds.
Thanks to the security alarm system, unauthorized entry into the car, theft and hijacking are difficult.
When the vehicle is unlocked with a mechanical key and unauthorized entry occurs, an audible and visual alarm is activated.
The security alarm system activates the alarm mode when the following actions are performed while the vehicle is locked:
- The vehicle was unlocked with a mechanical key and the ignition was not turned on within the next fifteen seconds.
- When opening one of the side doors.
- Opening the hood.
- Opening the back door.
- Turning on the ignition.
- When moving in the cabin (in the presence of interior security sensors).
- When trying to tow a vehicle (when equipped with appropriate sensors).
- When trying to put the car on a tow truck (when equipped with appropriate sensors).
At the same time, sound signals are given and direction indicators flash for half a minute.
The security system continues to function when the battery is disconnected or discharged.
