Replacing brake fluid (VW Golf 1)

As mentioned above, there is a risk of air bubbles appearing in the fluid. But this is not the only reason for replacing the brake fluid. Water that gets into the fluid causes corrosion in the brake cylinders and pipes. When changing the fluid, act as when bleeding. You will need 2 liters of fresh brake fluid.

Use a pipette or a clean injection syringe to suck out the old brake fluid from the reservoir.

Fill with fresh brake fluid and top it up periodically.

Each valve should have 500 cc of brake fluid pumped through it.

Thanks to such a relatively large quantity, you can be sure that the new brake fluid will not be mixed with the old one, and the brake system will be filled only with fresh fluid.
