Checking the thermostat housing and vacuum membrane (VW Transporter T3)

The intake air temperature is not less than 20°C.

Disconnect hoses "1" and "2" from thermostat "3" and connect them together.

When idling, disconnect hose "2" from vacuum diaphragm "4". The sound of the flap operating in the thermostat housing should be heard. Otherwise, replace the thermostat housing.
