The longitudinal inclination of the kingpin is determined by the length of the traction strut. The longitudinal inclination is determined when:

• steering in one direction.
• vibration of the front wheels.
• repair of the traction strut mount.

The reasons for deviations may be:

• the guide rod is twisted (replace the traction).
• the traction strut mount is not in place.

Examination

The longitudinal inclination of the kingpin refers to the zero inclination of the car. Therefore, it is necessary to take into account the possible existing inclination.

(44-125) measure the tilt of the steering knuckle. For example: 8 degrees. 10 min.



(44-126) Measure the tilt of the car in the sliding door cutout. For example: 40 min. back.



Actual tilt 7 degrees. 30 min. When the car tilts forward, its value is added, when tilted back, it is subtracted.

Installation

Change the length of the tie rod until the nominal value is reached, see table below.

Attention! Changing the longitudinal inclination of the kingpin affects the toe-in and camber. Therefore, always adjust the longitudinal inclination, camber and toe-in in the specified sequence.
