Starting with the 2009 model year, the 3rd generation steering gear is installed on the car. It replaced the 2nd generation steering gear. Steering gears can be distinguished without removal by the number of bolts securing the steering gear to the subframe.
Raise the vehicle. The 2nd generation steering gear is attached to the subframe with 4 bolts, while the 3rd generation steering gear is attached with 3 bolts.
