Carburetor — removal and installation (VW Lt 28)

1. Remove the engine cover.

2. Disconnect the air intake duct from the air cleaner from the carburetor.

3. Disconnect the wires from the automatic choke unit and the air cut-off solenoid valve. Disconnect the distributor vacuum line.

4. Disconnect and plug the fuel hose.

5. Disconnect the throttle cable from the lever on the carburetor (see photo).

6. Unscrew and remove the carburetor mounting nuts.

7. Remove the carburetor from the intake manifold. Remove the flange gaskets, which must be replaced with new ones when installing the carburetor.

8. The carburetor is installed in reverse order. Gaskets must be replaced regardless of their condition.
