The cooling system is sealed and includes a radiator and a water pump driven by a V-belt from the crankshaft pulley.

The cooling fan impeller is bolted to the front flange of the crankshaft pulley.

The cooling system is a "lossless" system, meaning that excess coolant, resulting from thermal expansion, is forced into the expansion tank and remains there until the liquid drains back into the system after the engine has cooled.

The purpose of the thermostat, located at the front of the engine, is to reduce the engine warm-up time.

The coolant must be replaced at the intervals specified in section "Routine maintenance" at the beginning of this Guide. Learn more about coolant see section 3.

The cabin heater is supplied with coolant from the cooling system.
