Tall van rear door — removal, installation and adjustment (VW Lt 28)

1. Open the door completely and remove the interior trim panel (if installed), releasing it from the mounting clamps.

2. Disconnect the door stopper by pulling out the mounting pin.



3. Disconnect the wiring from the rear license plate light by disconnecting the plugs. Remove the electrical wiring from the door.



4. Unscrew the hinge bolts and remove the door from the rack.





5. Reinstallation is done by performing the above steps in reverse order, but first tighten the hinge bolts by hand only until the door position is fully adjusted. Make sure that there is an equal gap with the adjacent body panels around the entire perimeter of the door, and that its molding is located in line with the body molding. The door can be moved as needed using the oblong holes for bolts in the hinges; once the door is in the correct position, tighten the hinge bolts fully.
