In Kafer 1200 vehicles, the oil cooler is located inside the cooling system fan housing. To remove the radiator, you need to remove the casing. In Kafer 1300 and 1600 vehicles, to remove the oil radiator, you only need to remove the air bleed shield.
Caution! If the engine oil becomes contaminated due to scuffing of the main and connecting rod bearings or metal filings entering the crankcase, the oil cooler must be replaced.
Removal
The oil radiator can be removed and installed with the engine installed. In this case, you just need to remove the engine cover.
In Kafer 1200 vehicles: remove the cooling system fan.

Unscrew the 3 oil cooler mounting nuts using a 10 mm offset open-end wrench, remove the radiator with the spring washers and both sealing gaskets.
For Kafer 1300/1600 vehicles: remove the oil radiator air bleed shield, remove the oil radiator with the corner flange and seals.
Installation
If possible, check the oil radiator for leaks (the work is done in the workshop).
Caution! If the radiator is leaking, check the operation of the relief valve.
For Kafer 1300/1600 vehicles: If the intermediate flange is removed, use new sealing rings.
Install new O-rings. Install the oil radiator and secure it with nuts through spring washers.
For Kafer 1300/1600 vehicles: secure the oil radiator air bleed shield.
In Kafer 1200 vehicles: install a cooling system fan.
