The oil pressure warning light does not come on after the ignition is turned onOpen circuit in the oil pressure sensor electrical circuitCheck the sensor contacts
The electrical circuit contacts are corrodedCheck the connections
The oil pressure sensor is faultyReplace the sensor
The oil pressure warning light does not go out after the engine is startedThe oil is too hotThere should be no cause for concern if the lamp goes out when the revs increase. Otherwise:
The oil pressure sensor is faultyReplace the sensor
Oil pressure too lowCheck the oil pressure in the lubrication system (see section "Removal, installation and checking the oil pressure sensor")
