Removal and installation the oil filler neck (VW Beetle)

Removal

Remove the oil filler cap.

Using a special VW 170 wrench or a wide screwdriver and hammer, unscrew the inner nuts securing the neck.

Please note: Kafer 1200 vehicles have a ventilation tube with a rubber valve extending downwards from the filler neck.

Installation

Install the oil filler neck with a new sealing gasket and tighten the nuts securing it. In Kafer 1200 vehicles, route the ventilation tube downwards and insert the rubber valve.
