Engine cooling system — design description (VW Beetle)

Cooling system: 1 - fan casing (check for tightness of fastening); 2 - oil radiator air bleed shield (only in Kafer 1300 and 1600 vehicles); 3 - oil radiator air exhaust box (only in Kafer 1300 and 1600 vehicles); 4-60 Nm (6.0 kgfm); 5 - spring washer; 6 - spacer washers; 7 - fan impeller (check for loose blades and the distance to the fan cover); 8 - fan impeller hub; 9 - connecting rod of the air intake regulator; 10 - air intake regulator; 11 - thermostat bracket; 12 - thermostat; 13 - 15 Nm (1.5 kgfm)
