Removal
Raise the rear of the vehicle and place it on supports.
Loosen the lower shock absorber mounting bolts while holding the nuts. Remove the bolts.
Loosen the upper shock absorber mounting bolts and remove the shock absorber.
Installation
Check the shock absorber before installation (see subsection "Removal, installation and inspection of shock absorbers and coil springs").

Secure the shock absorber first with the upper bolts, then with the lower ones, not forgetting the spring washers.
Lower the car.
