Removal the heater radiator (VW Golf 1)

The heater radiator is located in the heater housing under the instrument panel, see pic.

Partially drain the coolant.

Remove the fan. See section "Removal the fan", chapter "Heating and ventilation".

Turn the heating tap lever to the "Closed" position.

Remove the hoses leading to the heater radiator.

Remove the lower instrument panel cover (see chapter "Salon"); if necessary, remove the center console (see chapter "Salon").

Sleep wire rods near the heating system drive (read about this in the next section).

Remove all air ducts without exception.

Move the clamps back on the right and left sides of the heater housing

Remove the Phillips head screw.

On the left side of the heater body, remove the cover.

Pull the heater radiator to the side.

Before assembly, remove dirt and leaf debris from the housing.

Check the valve seals for damage. Replace if necessary.

The seal around the radiator should be installed in such a way that the heating radiator cannot come into contact with the body and create noise.
