Cold start acceleration cable (VW Transporter T4)

Adjustment

4-cylinder diesel engine

1. Place the front of the car on stands.

2. Remove the lower engine compartment splash guard.



3. Place the washer (1) on the cable and secure the cable with the lock washer (2).

4. Set the cable lever to the 0 position in the direction of the arrow.

5. Pull the cable tightly and secure it with the locking screw on the pin (3).

5-cylinder diesel engine

1. Place the front of the car on stands.

2. Remove the lower engine compartment splash guard.

3. Set the cable lever to the "auf" position – open.



4. Screw in the adjusting screw (1) until the adjustment dimension "x" is x = 14–15 mm.

5. Lock the lower cable of the cold start accelerator (CSA) in the crescent of the upper plug.

6. Connect plugs (2) and (3) together.

7. Install the lower engine compartment splash guard.

8. Remove the car from the supports.
