Attention: The fuel tank on vehicles with all-wheel drive is located above the gearbox, so to remove the fuel tank, you must first remove the gearbox. The following is a description for vehicles with four-wheel drive.
Caution: Fuel vapors are poisonous and flammable, therefore good ventilation of the workplace is required. Do not make open fire. Fire hazard!
Removing
Disconnect ground wire (-) from the battery.
Pump out the fuel from the fuel tank.
Raise the car.
Remove filler pipe -1-. To do this, loosen the clamp on the filler neck and pull out the ventilation pipe -3-.
Remove the right ventilation pipes (1), (2) And (3).
Remove the left vent pipes (4) And (5).
Disconnect intake manifold from fuel tank (1) and return (2) tubes.
Unscrew protective strips -white arrows- from body and remove from brackets.
Tilt the fuel tank and disconnect the wire from the fuel gauge sensor. Pull out the fuel tank.
Installation
Insert the fuel tank and connect the wire to the fuel gauge sensor.
Insert into the brackets and screw on the protective strips.
Connect the supply and return pipes and secure them with clamps.
Pour fuel into the tank.
Connect ground wire to battery.
