Remove the clutch in the following order:
- remove the gearbox (see subsection 10.1);
- using a punch, mark the relative positions of the clutch basket and flywheel;
- lock the flywheel in a stationary position;
- gradually unscrew the six bolts securing the clutch housing to the flywheel in a crisscross pattern to relieve the springs;
Caution! Abruptly releasing the mounting bolts may result in breakage of the diaphragm spring and mounting pins.
- remove the clutch housing assembly with the pressure plate. This will also release the driven clutch plate.
When removing the engine or gearbox, always disassemble the clutch to assess its condition.
